IFMGA/UIAGM mountain guide, member of the JDAV BW training team, sound engineer and camera assistant.
Back in 1991, my best friend and I catch sight of a crag in the mountains. I tell him: let's climb up there. On the top - in spite of the anxiety - I got overwhelmed by a strong emotion. This experience was the beginning of a passionate love for the world of mountains with towering summits, green valleys and wild glaciers.
Having climbed in many ranges in the Alps, the High Tatras, the Himalayas and Karakorum and in Great Britain, my dream was born: I wanted to work in the mountains. Then completed the courses and qualified as a IFMGA/UIAGM mountain guide. This is the highest professional qualification in alpine guiding. Since 2003 I have pursued a full-time career in guiding and instructing.
As I turned 21, the "institution" cinema became 100 years old. As part of this anniversary, great movies were shown such as films from Peter Greenaway. These movies made long-lasting impressions, which developed my interest in filmography. My work at film productions and as a mountain filmer is my second passion. To tell a story in motion pictures, is a challenge I burn for.
